I am Leo Versluys (1962) leadership advisor and executive coach.
I started coaching in order to help other leaders quickly become even more successful. After my law studies, I soon came into a position of leadership.
With books, workshops on leadership, well-intended corporate programs and expensive seminars I have tried to find my own way as a leader by trial and error. It took a lot of time, is terribly expensive and actually it does not work. You recognize that: once back in the office in the hustle and bustle of everyday life, you are back in your old ways after two days. Back to the old habits and routine.
How much blood, sweat, tears and time would have been saved if I had then found a partner who was specialized in leadership and the behaviour of leaders to help me in order to give my own leadership, in the different positions I have fulfilled, a boost in the right direction?
I searched for someone who could help me with good tips about behaviour, image and leadership at every level of my career as a leader. But there are almost no experts who have had a successful career as a senior executive or administrator and also have real understanding and are trained in what I call the psychology of leadership and behaviour of leaders.
That is why, a few years ago, I made the transition from a successful career at large reputable international organizations such as Randstad, PwC, Océ and Canon as SVP HR and administrator to a niche: advising and coaching leaders. I then had my passion with the rare combination of psychological knowledge (I am a therapist) and experience as an executive created a successful company for advising and coaching leaders.
In the meantime I have been asked by N2Growth to lead the program as Senior Partner for leadership development and coaching leaders in the Benelux.
I regarded this as a great honour. It is a reputable international Management Consulting organization with practical areas in, for example, leadership development, strategy, culture, organization development and executive search. N2Growth has been included by Forbes in the 2016 list of top Management Consulting firms in the USA. The Chairman, Mike Myatt, is a well-known and renowned leadership advisor in the USA.
In just a few years, my career within leadership and coaching has received a huge boost. Guided by my passion, I now coach leaders in all grades.

I have worked in top companies for more than 25 years, largely as an administrator and Senior Vice President HR and I’ve coached and advised hundreds of leaders. I know the ropes, the ups & downs, the tensions and the pleasure.
I now teach other leaders what I have learned and successfully applied: how they can make their leadership even better or make themselves feel better about it, so that they become more successful as a leader and as a person. Because there is no separation between work behaviour and private behaviour.
